"Belfast is beautiful but bad, and it's children are veterans before they're old enough to be soldiers."

"Dedicated to my daughters and all children who, only by virtue of their birth, suffer the consequences of conflict and war."

Children of Belfast: Reclaiming Their Place Among The Stones

Fifty-Eight B&W photographs and narrative that provide an intimate, nonsectarian view of "The Troubles" as seen through the lives  of children caught up in the conflict and the author's immediate experience. The children, from both sides of the Peace Line, are real, their stories genuine and heartfelt: nevertheless, it is their strength, resilience, and tenacity that seems to offer the most hope for a peaceful, promising future. Also published in book form by Devenish Press in 2000.
