Learning To Celebrate Sugar: The Soviet Union Before and After The Coup
Forty B&W photographs and narrative that provide an intimate look at a society in transition. Shot during a series of unprecedented exchanges between American Vietnam War Veterans and Soviet Veterans of the War in Afghanistan, the exhibition documents the hopes, fears, and resolve of a people caught up in the historic events that led to the demise of the Communist Party and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1990 and 1991.
